The Positions

Anyway let’s take a look at our recent victories. We once again used Overtime Markets to place four positions on the Aus Open. That was an affiliate link by the way, which I’d like to point out NONE of you have used.

Sinner , Sinner Handicap, Mavericks, and Sabalenka. Overall went fairly small, mainly because I couldn’t be arsed to bridge more funds from wherever they are (Arbitrum I think). Now I write that I actually realise OT is on Arb with incentives why in gods name am I not using that.

I got derailed, I went small because yeah, we were down on the last set of positions and cba to bridge more. Though I did allocate the heft towards Sinner which was paying the best odds so we did pretty good.

A win we needed. With the knowledge I can use arb I can use both networks now to ape more funds. Although with the AUS Open about to conclude idk how active he will be. But we have recently had some NBA tips so hopefully we stay winning

We bet positioned big on Ostapenko to win because the big man said he was, though he did say he was biased but I thought we’d go for it anyway. Unfortunately Ostapenko lost the match meaning we took a pretty big hit.

This unfortunate event was followed by another unfortunate event where we took another loss from Felix Auger-Aliasimme which was sadly our second biggest position. $56.82 straight down the pisser.

However, there was some success as both the Dodin and Yastremska positions hit. Whilst these were the smallest positions it largely took the sting out of the first two matches.

In hindsight I should not have placed the parlay and am happy to take responsibility for that L - I was too eager to bring home the bacon. In the future I will freestyle less in the hopes of generating a purer signal.

Nikhil said he made 20 keks, I don’t actually know how if he went big on Ostapenko, maybe he went bigger on Yastremska. Either way I’m happy for him on those tax free gains, although now very scared for my own money in this thing if the key to being as successful as Nikhil is actually being Nikhil. Hopefully our next bag will outperform and get us back in the green.

Dark times. We are now down from the initial wallet seed value of $250 (if we ignore the fact ETH is higher than it was when we created the wallet).

It’s been a long time since The Hilnik Index officially launched, and I can only apologize for the lack of content. Nikhil calls have been unobtainable due to the Christmas period not having any Tennis Or Cricket going on…

The usual narratives are still at play however, SNX is steadily heading towards ZERO, despite inflation stopping, a burn mechanism being announced, V3 being ‘soon‘, and Infinex also ‘soon‘. It seems NOTHING can save SNX bagholders from their own STUPIDITY despite Nikhil’s best efforts to do so.

A New Dawn

We’re kicking off 2024 with not one but FIVE Tennis positions on Overtime Markets. I pinged Nikhil with a screengrab of Jan 20th’s racket options and immediately got several calls - the confidence is pretty unreal.

He’s even going to see Ostapenko V Azarenka in person. He did put a disclaimer that he may be biased with the Ostapenko call as she’s one of his favourite racket wielding ladies right now but I’m not sure someone like Nikhil would let their emotions get in the way of their trades so we’re going with it.

Have posted this trade in advance just in case any of you fancy joining the fun, and will share an update once the positions are all closed out.

As a reminder the Hilnik index started with $250 of ETH and after the first trade made a 14% return. I am only now realizing I should have swapped to stables immediately but it is what it is - as the Overtime positions are sUSD based it should be easy enough to track. I will also say the amount wagered on these positions has had no input from Nikhil - I merely get a call and buy the positions, in this case I used 100% of the existing sUSD to save making a trade.

Wow, I did not expect that on day one after creating the Nikhil index I would get a position to take.

Straight away we are off with a call, so I went over to [Overtime Markets](https://overtimemarkets.xyz/#/markets?referrerId=Hilnik Index) and there was only minutes left to position on this match.

I quickly swapped .03ETH for $58.02 worth of SUSD on Velodrome Finance (NBA Velo grindset, especially if you’re in a hurry), and stuck the whole lot on Sinner to win.

This may seem ballsy but I’ve seen Nikhil’s sports calls before, and let me tell you, this guy fucking sports.

RESULT

Holy shit. Sinner won, Nikhil was absolutely on point and has gotten the Hilnik Index off to an unreal start.

A truly astonishing start for the Hilnik Index. Up 13.81% in hours. For reference the top gainer on my perps dex of choice was KAS @ +13.7% at time of closing the Sinner position. Is this a sign of tings to come? Only time will tell.

Hilnik is an alt-name for someone you may know as ‘Nikhil‘, if you consider yourself a smart defi investor, you are probably in some of your favorite smart defi protocols’ Discord servers, where you have more than likely encountered the infamous Nikhil dishing out ultra-sound advice, and also berating IDIOTIC smart defi investors.

You will likely know that your smart defi tokens are actually hurtling towards ZERO at a catastrophic velocity and they’re taking you with them. It’s tricky choosing the right tokens to buy in defi, but not everyone is built the same.

Nikhil frequently posts token charts with astounding gains, is he buying these tokens or is he just posting top gainers? I don’t know, but if he is buying them he is likely going to be blessing a Forbes cover soon.

Despite being a known heavy hitter in tech, renowned philanthropist, and tax/risk free sports betting genius, Nikhil has often face persecution. Frequently banned or muted from several Discord servers, you might wonder why? I’ll tell you. It’s because most people do not understand BASIC SIMPLE CONCEPTS. The Hilnik Index has the potential to change that.

The aim of The Hilnik Index is simple. Shine a light on this heavy hitter’s calls. Will it benefit anyone, I don’t know, it’s purely for entertainment - Whatever the outcome you can be sure of a thrilling ride.

I’ve started out by funding a fresh wallet with 0.13ETH ($250 at the time) on Arbitrum. I will do my best to follow Nikhil accurately and update this blog with the results.
