Community Treasury: 25% TRVL

The Community Treasury retains 25% of the entire TRVL supply. This amount will vest over a period of 72 months.

The Community Treasury funds are allocated toward operational expenses and grants related to: the development and management of the Dtravel platform and associated services, governance participation, bridges to other blockchain networks, and exchange liquidity.

Community Growth Fund: 25% TRVL

The Community Growth Fund retains 25% of the entire TRVL supply. This amount will vest over a period of 72 months.

The Community Growth Fund is focused on growing the Dtravel ecosystem through growth initiatives such as rewarding referrals, airdrops (for example, the 10m TRVL allocated to Travala.com users), and Earn rewards.

Foundation Reserve: 20% TRVL

The Foundation Reserve is established to foster the development of Dtravel’s platform and ecosystem through grants, acquisitions and other actions to benefit from value-adding opportunities. The Foundation Reserve allocation vests over 48 months.

Core Contributors and Advisors: 10.5% TRVL

Subject to a 5-year lock-up with an 18-month vesting cliff, starting at the token generation event (TGE), vesting monthly in equal amounts afterwards.

Seed Sale: 10% TRVL

10% unlocked at TGE and vesting over 6 months followed by a 12-month cliff with the remaining vesting over 6 months afterwards. Seed Sale tokens were sold at an average price of $0.02.

Strategic Sale I: 7% TRVL

10% unlocked at TGE and vesting over 6 months followed by a 12-month cliff with the remaining vesting over 6 months afterwards. Strategic Sale I tokens were sold at an average price of $0.05.

Strategic Sale II: 2.5% TRVL

10% unlocked at TGE and vesting over 6 months followed by a 12-month cliff with the remaining vesting over 6 months afterwards. Strategic Sale II tokens were sold at an average price of $0.09.

In this article, we’ll explain the mechanics of the staking program and walk you through how to stake your TRVL and claim your TRVL staking rewards.

Staking Vaults

TRVL Earn currently includes five vaults, each with a different APR:

Note: staked TRVL does not automatically compound.

All vaults exist on both the Ethereum network and BNB Smart Chain, enabling staking of both the ERC-20 and BEP-20 version of the TRVL token.

Each vault also has its own minimum and maximum stake limit. To successfully stake in a vault, your selected TRVL amount must be within these two limits. Note that every vault has a maximum total stake capacity, therefore the total amount staked in a vault at any given time by all staking participants cannot exceed the maximum cap.

Example: Assume the 1 Month Vault has a minimum stake amount of 100 TRVL and a maximum stake amount of 1,000,000 TRVL, with a maximum cap of 2,500,000 TRVL for the entire vault. If the total amount of TRVL locked in the vault by all staking participants is currently 2,000,000 TRVL, the maximum stake amount at this point in time will be 500,000 TRVL instead of 1,000,000 TRVL.

Vault Maturity and Rewards

Staking TRVL in a vault is an irreversible commitment to the total lock-up term. Once staked, the initial deposit and staking rewards can only be claimed following the vault reaching maturity. Tokens cannot be unstaked prior to vault maturity.

At maturity, your initial deposit and your rewards must be claimed manually. You may subsequently opt to restake your TRVL in the same vault or another vault.

Example: A holder decides to stake 10,000 TRVL at 60% APR in the 12 Month Vault. After 365 days the stake has matured, allowing the holder to claim the initial deposit of 10,000 TRVL plus the 6,000 TRVL rewards earned through staking, for a total of 16,000 TRVL.

How to Stake TRVL

Earning TRVL on TRVL.com is easy. Simply connect your non-custodial wallet, select a staking vault and enter the amount of TRVL to stake. For detailed instructions, please see the step-by-step guide below.

Please note: the values in the screenshots below have been included for demonstration purposes only and may not be current.

1. Visit earn.trvl.com.

2. Click “Connect wallet” in the top right-hand corner.

3. Choose your non-custodial wallet and follow the prompts to connect your wallet to TRVL.com.

4. Once your wallet is connected, choose the “Ethereum” or “BSC” network (depending on whether you’re staking the ERC-20 or BEP-20 version of TRVL) and select your desired staking vault.

5. Enter the amount of TRVL to stake. Once entered, you’ll be able to see the estimated TRVL rewards. Click “Stake TRVL”, after which you’ll be prompted to confirm the transaction in your non-custodial wallet.

   Note: Staking TRVL is an on-chain transaction that involves gas fees in the native network cryptocurrency (i.e. ETH if staking on the Ethereum network and BNB if staking on the BNB Smart Chain network).

6. If your staking transaction is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message.

How to Claim TRVL Rewards

Once the vault maturity of your stake is reached, you’ll be able to claim your TRVL rewards on TRVL.com by following the steps below.

1. Visit earn.trvl.com and connect the non-custodial wallet you used to stake TRVL.

2. Click “Go to rewards”.

3. Here, you can see all of your staked positions. When vault maturity is reached, the claim action will become available. Click “Claim” to proceed.

4. To confirm your claim, click “Deposit to wallet”. Your staked TRVL amount and the TRVL rewards will then be deposited to your connected non-custodial wallet.

   Note: Claiming TRVL rewards is an on-chain transaction that involves gas fees in the native network cryptocurrency (i.e. ETH if staking on the Ethereum network and BNB if staking on the BNB Smart Chain network).

Important note: we’re still working on finalizing the staking campaign so any specific numbers in the mockups here are for illustrative purposes only. Final amounts will differ. 

Staking Overview

This is the overview page where you’ll be able to see a summary of the rewards and the pools available for staking.

Under the rewards overview, you’ll find the following info:

• Staked - your individual amount staked

• Unclaimed rewards - your individual rewards outstanding that you haven’t claimed

• Total amount staked - the total TRVL amount staked from everyone in the pool to date

• Total rewards claimed - the total TRVL rewards claimed from everyone in the pool to date

To start staking, click the "Stake" button to deposit your TRVL and start earning. This will require two transactions to start staking.

To claim rewards, click the “Claim” button to claim your TRVL rewards. This will require a transaction to be signed so that TRVL can be deposited into your wallet. Depending on the staking conditions, rewards claimed may be subject to a vesting schedule.

Under the pools overview, you’ll find the following info:

• Core pools - these are the list of pools available for staking

• Total value locked (TVL) - this is the total amount of TRVL locked in the pool from all stakers

• Annual percentage return (APR) - this is the annual percentage rate from all staked funds in the pool

Staking Options

There will be two staking options - flexible and locked.

Flexible

In this staking option, you can stake and withdraw your deposited TRVL  at any time. You simply set the amount of TRVL you’d like to stake and rewards will be accrued on a regular basis. The benefit to this option is that it’s flexible in case you need to withdraw your TRVL. However, this option yields a lower APR than the locked option.

Locked

In this staking option, you stake TRVL for a specified length of time in weeks before you can withdraw your deposit. You set the amount of TRVL you’d like to stake as well as the duration you’d like to stake for. While this option is less flexible, the longer you stake your TRVL, the greater the APR.
