Did you know that Sui has a project about people and FOR people? No? I present to your attention — Sui Name Service.

The Sui Mainnet is rumored to release in Q1 2023.
Currently, the Sui Name Service is only available on Sui Devnet. This makes it only available for testing and names registered will be reset. This is not controlled, by us. It is controlled by the Sui Team.

Ethereum has the Ethereum Name Service ($ENS), but Sui doesn’t have an $ENS equivalent. People may argue it does, but that competitor has no innovation, real trading volume, or community. (We check every day) Meanwhile, we have innovation, community, and trading volume! (Jk on the last part, but we’re getting there haha)
Our goal is to disrupt the name-service ecosystem with a new “.sui” name service focused on gaming, profiles, and community. This phase has three primary goals

Today I want to write on the topic of the Vision of the SNA.
How do you spend your time? Do you like to walk in the park? Or maybe you prefer a family dinner? Maybe a movie, a restaurant, a bowling alley? And what about games? How many people love games? And if these games are in WEB 3.0? Sounds amazing and modern. So, this modernity is already close.

But, the only way the industry is going to get there is with the necessary infrastructure. Infrastructure that ought to be community-owned and transparent to the people that actually use it. That’s the future I believe in and that’s the future I want to build together.

I want to give an amazing quote from the white paper of the project. We are on the threshold of something big and grandiose. And we can build it together.

It’s about using the historically revolutionary technology that Sui is for a commercial purpose that consumers can actually use. The $SNS is so focused on gaming because it is the parallel most natural for crypto-currency to break into. People who use games are more computer-savvy than regular consumers and people who use games are already familiar with practical use cases for crypto-concepts — csgo skins as NFTs, etc.
At the $SNS, we seek to build a community-owned Sui Name Service that will act as your digital identity for crypto gaming services and products, or as I like to call it — Gmail for Crypto Gaming. Right now, we’re starting out as a name service for Sui, but our goal is to create an eco-system of products on Sui that you can access via your web browser by the “.sui” top-level domain — each “.sui” registration will control its equivalent “.sui” TLD as well.

This is my first article. And I want to dedicate it to StorkLabs and the Sui Name Service protocol. This project was created by people for people. One of the missions of Sui Name Service is to show people that the cryptocurrency industry is honest, this is the future, this is good, this is not a scam.

The Sui Name Service is the first of our software products on Sui. It fills the void for Sui domain names and on-chain identity. Our focus is gaming, and the goal is for the project to be owned by the community.
It is no secret that the Sui Name Service will have a DAO, under the token $SNS. The Sui Name Service will be registered as a legal entity off-shore and be owned through the $SNS token.

Separately, it is worth noting the tokenomics of the company. 25% percent will belong to the community. Incredible, isn’t it?
