Zeugh:

Zeugh: SteveG

Jango:

               1.mieos, 2.jango, 3. felixander, 4.nicholas, 5. zeugh

The two proposals of adjusting the discount rate to 4% and 20% respectively all ended up not passing the snapshot vote. Complaints or dissatisfaction were not seen as obvious. I still think this proposal of adjusting the discount rate to 20% by the Chinese community is a good thing, in the sense that members improved their understanding of Juicebox in the discussions.

AssangeDAO started fundraising on Feb. 4. This phenomenon evolved during the bigger part of this week as it stayed to be the focus.

1）The project owners had not expressed very explicitly that they had not launched the ERC20 contract so temporarily no tokens will be minted to donors, our mods had to explain this to our members many times in the early stage.

2）With the funding withdrawn to their project wallet, Juicebox collected a considerable amount of fees from this project. Our members now have more recognition about the sustainable development of Juicebox.

3）When project owners broke their promise and extended an extra funding cycle, donors went outrageous and came over to our discord complaining this project is a rug-pull and pressuring us to “do something” or “simply shut down the funding cycle”. Mods reported this to our #governance channel while at the same time tried to explain why outright intervention is not workable.

4）With the escalation of conflicts between project owners and their members, some of their members even their cn-mod got banned from their Discord. A few of them came over to accuse us for “covering” the project owners and threatened that this matter would harm the Juicebox. I explained that we have raised alarms for the risks of no ERC-20 contract and no reconfiguration strategy etc. at the early stage of fundraising. From the responses from other members, I think we have the understanding and support from most of our members.

5）This matter is still unfolding as far as I know. We will keep monitoring how it will affect us.

Our moderator @twodam has been quite active in promoting education about the Juicebox mechanism and the development of its ecosystem. He shared quite a few of his twitter links and Dune dashboards as well as Mirror.xyz articles in this concern. Another member worth mentioning is @Kris. He has been very active lately, both in joining the discussions and helping to supply info to other members. He was one of the beneficiaries of the JBX allocation plan we suggested last time.

Some of our members noticed the competition from the Mirror fundraising platform and asked questions about it. @twodam elaborated on his opinions about this.

Our members have always been showing deep interest in the staking mechanism and the NFT Banny. Questions about them are quite frequent. They are looking forward to the realization of it.

The former 5th holder of JBX, who donated 300ETH in the period of FOMO, has finished dumping all his JBX tokens in this interval on Uniswap. This made a dent in the AMM price and some of our members managed to arbitrage from the difference between AMM and our redeem ratio. The price fluctuations also triggered discussion about our treasury structure and the possible hedging against depreciation risks of the ETH treasury.

We, zhape and twodam, as the mods in Chinese channel, are planning to arrange a second bilingual town hall call recently, in the hope of both sharing the status of V2 development and fostering community involvement and contributions. Hope we can have support from the core team.
