It’s easy to say the main reason most projects mess up their airdrops is because the team is greedy.
But what we rarely talk about are the VCs.
The VCs behind these projects are just as greedy.
They take huge allocations, enforce strict vesting, demand early liquidity, and push teams to optimize for valuation instead of community.
By the time launch day comes, there’s barely anything left for the people who actually made the project visible.
Teams get blamed, but half of that blame also belongs to the VCs.
Maybe it’s time we start calling out the investors behind these projects too.
