The Farmer Who Spoke to the Wind

A patient farmer noticed that some days the wind bent his crops harshly, while other days it brushed them gently. Instead of complaining, he adjusted. On windy days, he tied weaker plants to sticks. On calm days, he loosened the ties so they could grow freely. A neighboring farmer mocked him. “You act as if the wind listens to you.” The patient farmer replied, “No. I listen to the wind.” At harvest, his crops stood tall and strong. The neighbor’s field, neglected and unprepared, suffered heavy losses. The village learned that survival comes not from controlling nature, but from working with it. Moral: Adaptation is wiser than resistance.
