Minting uniBTC on BitLayer is a straightforward process that allows users to start earning yield on idle BTC assets. Go to the Bedrock dApp. Ensure that you are connected to Bitlayer by checking on the upper right corner of the screen. Connect your wallet.
Enter the amount of BTC or WBTC you’d like to deposit to mint uniBTC. You can toggle between input currency in the dropdown menu to the right.
Click on the “Stake” button. From here, confirm the transaction by signing and approving the pop-ups from your Web3 wallet.
Once the stake is successful, a message will appear confirming your staked amount and the amount of uniBTC minted. You will also be able to view your uniBTC balance on the dashboard.
Congratulations! You have successfully minted uniBTC on BitLayer using the Bedrock dApp. Enjoy the benefits of your newly minted tokens and start earning rewards on the platform.
