The /politics channel on Warpcast is creating the best place on the internet to learn about, discuss, and engage with politics — openly, intelligently, and without the noise.
It’s for people who care enough to go beyond headlines. People who ask better questions. People who don’t want to scroll through outrage just to find a real insight. This is a space where politics isn’t a performance — it’s a conversation.
We’re building tools and systems to support that vision. The tools we’re rolling out — $BUSTER, @buster, and The Forecast — are experiments in decentralization, shared value, and rewarding thoughtful participation.
This is all part of a long-term plan to grow a channel that’s not just reactive, but reflective — one that can host real debates, attract serious thinkers, and eventually, hold powerful conversations with interesting journalists, policymakers, and elected officials. $BUSTER helps make that possible.
What We're Building
$BUSTER: A Token for Participation
$BUSTER is the utility token for the /politics channel. It can be earned by contributing to the quality of the conversation — or bought to support the channel’s growth and development.
It’s used to:
Tip people for thoughtful posts and replies
Reward accuracy in public sentiment forecasting
Recognize top casters each week
Help build systems that support better political discourse
@buster: AI-Powered Tipping
@buster is a lightweight bot that listens to conversation and tips users in $BUSTER when they contribute something meaningful. It also responds to recommendations from other users:
@buster — please tip @username for this post.
It’s not a moderator or a judge. It’s just here to help reinforce the kind of contributions that make this space worth spending time in.
Forecast: Identifying the Best Forecasters of Public Sentiment
Forecast is a native prediction tool inside /politics that challenges users to forecast how the public will respond to political developments.
These Forecasts aren’t just about whether something will happen — they’re about anticipating how people will feel about it, how it will poll, or how it will show up in sentiment markets.
Examples include:
“Will Trump be polling above 41.5% in the FiveThirtyEight national average by April 30?”
“Will the Polymarket odds of a 2024 recession be above 63% by May 15?”
“Will support for a national abortion ban exceed 30% in Gallup polling by June?”
Forecasts will resolve based on trusted public sources like Polymarket, RealClearPolitics, or Gallup.
By participating, you're helping surface who in the channel has the sharpest sense of how the public is likely to react — and what might shape those perceptions next.
Correct predictions earn $BUSTER. Leaderboards track who’s consistently reading the landscape well.
Where This Is Going
We’re trying to build a political space online that’s actually worth being in — not just for regular people, but for thoughtful journalists, policymakers, and organizers too. That doesn’t happen overnight. It starts with incentives. With culture. With consistency.
$BUSTER is one part of that foundation. Not a product to hype — a tool to grow with.
We're not chasing virality. We're building something sustainable, thoughtful, and worth sticking around for.
If that’s something you want to be a part of, we’d love to have you.
See you in /politics.
I want to see your channel grow even more than it already has, there is definitely a need for a place where people can have rational polite discourse about politics. Who knows maybe people will even change their minds about certain things because it is a more conducive environment for dialogue than somewhere like Twitter. I hope your plan goes well good luck!
We’ve been building toward something bigger in /politics — a space for real political conversation that rewards curiosity, insight, and thoughtful engagement. This post lays out the vision, the tools we’re experimenting with (like $BUSTER, @filibuster, and Forecast), and how it all fits together. If you’re interested in where this is headed and want to be part of shaping it, give it a read. https://paragraph.com/@javabu.eth/buster,-forecasting,-and-whats-next
The token hasn’t launched yet, right? Seeing 3 come up for Sol
No. And $BSTR doesn’t have any value. Everything will be fully public when launched.
I love this
