It’s been 42 days since the LINEA token and claim page went live, just long enough for us to begin to tease out what it all means. The message is the same: Linea is Ethereum and the best place for ETH capital, but now we can take a quick look back and glance forward at how it’s starting to take shape in the young LINEA era.
Over the past 42 days:
LINEA has been listed on almost all major centralized exchanges, including Coinbase and Binance.
Over 90 percent of eligible wallets have claimed their airdrop as we approach the midpoint of the 90 day claim window.
We saw over a billion dollars in lending via Aave’s v3 deployment on Linea, a first for an L2.
Trading volume on LINEA exceeded $2 billion in a 24 hour period and we reached the highest rates of transactions and value locked ever seen on the network.
These are just a few of the milestones that give life meaning and prove the power of 42 for the Linea team.

The energy is spreading throughout the ecosystem as well: Our first 42 saw a successful TGE by T3 Play on Linea and Maple Finance brought institutional-grade offerings onchain with its first ETH-backed loan on the network.
The next 42 days will be even more packed with action and meaning and yes, a few surprises:
Lido has just launched direct staking on Linea: Users can now stake their ETH directly from Linea and receive wstETH in one transaction, which means lower costs without any UX changes, all powered by Chainlink CCIP’s Programmable Token Transfers.
Token burning and Native Yield is almost ready to get fired up. Stay tuned.
We’ve been planning big rewards for web3 dapps on Linea, expect to hear something in the coming weeks.
Finally, Linea has started upgrading from London to the Prague EVM version. During this week and the next, we will have released all major forks: Paris / Shanghai / Cancun / Prague, catching up with 4 years of upgrades. With this, we close the gap between our zero-knowledge proof system and the modern Ethereum execution layer.
