We believe the possibilities of AI can be limitless when embracing the power of decentralization.
Consider just one segment: the AI-generated video sector. AI has already transformed video creation, reducing barriers to access and replacing content that once took entire teams to produce. However, that promise is limited by a serious challenge: It is powered by a largely centralized $49 billion GPU market that is controlled by a few global web2 monopolies (from NVIDIA hardware to Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services compute) that drives up prices and creates a global AI compute bottleneck.
Just a few months ago, our community launched Livepeer AI to take on this challenge. Through blockchain incentives and tokenomics, we can now leverage our decentralized network of hardware providers — a community that is already transcoding millions of hours of video weekly — to provide resources for AI-generated video as well. With decentralization, we can offer developers a much more pay-per-task model that is much more cost-effective than renting expensive GPU capacity from centralized operators.
Unlike traditional cloud services, our model creates an infinitely scalable network of GPUs as demand increases. This open, affordable compute network can power limitless creation, invention and scaling for AI tools and the creators who use them — and ours is just one example of the innovative communities using token-enabled decentralization to catalyze the advancement of AI.

Create an image, GIF, or short video that pushes the limits of AI-powered media and showcases a future where creativity knows no bounds. Top entries will be showcased at Limitless, with a chance to win two suite-level tickets to the F1 Grand Prix Event on the 20th of September. The top submissions will be selected by the Livepeer team and presented at Limitless, with investors casting a live vote to select the final winner.
Theme: Participants are invited to use generative AI tools to create content —whether an image, GIF, or short video—that embodies the theme of “Unbounded Creativity.” This challenge encourages you to visualize a future where AI, decentralization, and innovation redefine media, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Requirements: You may use any generative AI tool of your choosing. Individuals can submit a maximum of three submissions. You must be present at the Limitless event on September 17th when the winner is announced in order to claim the contest prize.
