Livepeer AI introduced the world’s first AI video platform with decentralized processing and AI compute capability. Today, Livepeer unveils the next chapter in the network’s AI journey: the Livepeer AI Video Startup Program.
Generative AI models like Sora, Runway, and Stable Diffusion have fundamentally transformed video production, making it more accessible than ever. To harness this potential, Livepeer welcomes the first cohort of AI video startups, ushering in the next generation of applications at the intersection of decentralized AI and generative media.
The Livepeer AI Video Startup Program is a bespoke three-month initiative designed to accelerate the development of decentralized AI video technologies and applications.
The inaugural cohort of eight startups was hand-picked by the Livepeer tech team based on their commitment to open-source and decentralized technology, a focus on creating nimble, user-centric products, and a strong interest in using the Livepeer network for AI inference tasks.
Livepeer AI enhances video capabilities on the network. Startups will focus on integrating generative AI features into their applications, such as text-to-image, image-to-image, image-to-video, upscaling, and speech-to-text. Developers can use established pipelines or build and deploy their own, working closely with the Livepeer AI engineering team.
The program offers selected startups $20,000 in grant funding, infrastructure credits for AI inference and transcoding, and expert mentorship from the Livepeer tech team.
Participants will also gain early access to Livepeer’s cutting-edge AI video infrastructure, with opportunities for co-marketing and partnership activation. The program culminates in early October.

Operator: Specializes in meme creation, using custom AI models to produce themed backgrounds and distinctive visual styles. This autonomous agent generates memes with a unique aesthetic and viral appeal.
Origin: Enhances its VPM application to offer co-created video experiences with improved user experience and efficiency. New features, including advanced video editing tools and integrations, will broaden its market reach and capabilities.
Refraction: Integrates Livepeer AI into its Regenerate video filter tool to provide powerful generative AI functionalities like text-to-image and image-to-video transformations. This enhances real-time visual effects for streaming and live performances.
Supermodel: Leverages Livepeer’s infrastructure to deliver real-time trend insights and forecasts for the fashion industry. By applying AI models to video feeds, Supermodel provides brands with valuable consumer insights and demand forecasts. (Currently in stealth).
