As more layer-1s and layer-2s emerge in the current market, it has become evident that an interoperable system will be inevitable. DAOs should not have to choose to live on a chain and be limited to a particular chain. Verse Network by STP has always focused on the importance of cross-chain operability starting with Clique’s cross-chain bridge between Ethereum and Polygon. However, integration with multiple blockchains non-EVM included should not have to be so difficult.
For this reason, Verse Network by STP is partnering with ZetaChain, a protocol-agnostic blockchain that supports generic omnichain smart contracts, connecting all chains and layers as well as non-smart contract blockchains. Together they will unlock the capability for users to create omnichain DAOs on Clique. With Omnichain DAOs, users will no longer have to bridge their assets to a certain blockchain in order to participate in governance.
With ZetaChain’s built-in omnichain interoperability, Clique enhances its data bridges signature distribution function that will allow for DAOs to exist across multiple blockchains. Clique will be utilizing ZetaChain’s omnichain smart contracts to conduct voting verifications.
In addition to the ZetaChain integration, ZetaChain will be listed on Clique as a project and host future campaigns using Clique's newly built feature, DAO Rewards. DAO Rewards is a tool to reward community members for completing certain tasks such as submitting bugs, social activities, and quizzes.
