It’s official–we’ve entered the second quarter of the 21st century. And while we have the entire year ahead of us, it is at such moments that we feel the need to look back and appreciate the journey that brought us to this very point. To some, 2024 may very well be another year in the books, but to us, it was the genesis of something spectacular.

So, with full readiness to chart the unknown that is 2025, let’s take a quick glance at the past 12 months before parting ways with a gentle nod and smile.

While SyFu began its journey in mid-2023 it wasn’t until February of 2024 that we had our first private mint. Despite our early stage and a comparatively smaller community at the time, we managed to conclude phases 1 and 2 of our Genesis sale with surprising results that would further snowball towards phase 3, culminating in over 950 successful mints! This gave us the confidence we needed to pursue our goals with the utmost motivation, which served, among other things, to reaffirm our potential as a project.

In that very month we proceeded to release version 1.0 of our whitepaper, outlining in detail a protocol meant to complement daily spending, reward economic contribution, and create an ecosystem of useful and practical NFTs tied to already-existing payment networks. We wanted to create an app that was simple, easy to use, and yet able to reap all the benefits of decentralized protocols.

With the groundwork laid out, SyFu entered its alpha stage. With constant tinkering and back-and-forths, it didn’t take too long to figure out how to integrate payment data into SyFu and generate rewards. Having overcome our most formidable challenge, we began working on the wallet features to pave the way towards the beta.

In the later half of 2024 we witnessed our biggest success yet. Phases 1 and 2 of our SyFu MANEKINEKO NFT pre-sale both sold out in 7 and 5 minutes respectively! The whole team was at awe as the pre-sale shattered all expectations, further fueling our passion and determination to take this project to completion.

Having just emerged from a successful pre-sale, we decided that now would be a great time to launch SyFu’s closed beta. So, in the final months of 2024, we finally teased what we had been working on, and turned a new page in our journey alongside the best community we could have asked for.

Today, SyFu’s beta is still available on both Android and iOS, with beta keys routinely being given out in our official Discord channel. We’ve seen an uptick in key requests since launching this phase, and with every feedback utilized and kinks polished we draw closer to an open beta in 2025, and ultimately, v1.00.

We have a lot planned for 2025; arguably, this might be SyFu’s biggest year yet. From the full launch of our dApp, to our TGE, to the numerous partnerships we’ve been working on–not to mention all the financial tools and services in the works–having come so far gives us all the confidence we need to confront and tackle these obstacles one at a time, and we have you to thank for it.
