Synapse has integrated Dogechain into its generalized cross-chain messaging system and value bridge. This launch makes Dogechain the 17th unique blockchain interconnected by Synapse, allowing users to seamlessly bridge assets between Dogechain and a wide variety of other chains.
Dogechain is a new EVM-based blockchain designed to provide DOGE holders with dedicated blockspace for creating decentralized applications involving DOGE. With Dogechain, DOGE holders can access DeFi, NFTs, and blockchain games. The native gas token for Dogechain is DOGE. As with all Synapse integrations, Synapse users will receive a DOGE gas drop that will cover their first few transactions.
Synapse is supporting Dogechain in conjunction with other DeFi applications, including Fraxswap and KibbleSwap. All FRAX on Dogechain and all USDC, USDT, DAI, WETH, WBTC, and BNB will be supported by Synapse via Synapse’s xAsset token standard.
Dogechain was launched a couple of weeks ago and already boasts over 50,000 wallets and has processed over 1 million transactions. Close to 250m DOGE was already bridged to Dogechain via the official bridge and hundreds of thousands of transactions occur every single day, taking advantage of the chain key strengths:

However, outside of DOGE <> wDOGE, Dogechain does not have an official bridge. As such, any cross-chain ERC20 token (for example USDC or ETH) have to be brought to Dogechain by different bridges.
Enter Synapse, crypto’s most widely used cross-chain messaging and value bridge that will connect Dogechain to its extensive liquidity network spanning across chains. In order to offer the best UX to users of the Synapse bridge, Synapse is currently partnering with builders which will build liquidity on Dogechain, using Synapse bridged assets (Synapse xAssets). This will allow for a progressive widespread adoption of Synapse xAssets, offering the best UX to Synapse users.
Additionally, to facilitate the onboarding of new users on Dogechain, Synapse will airdrop some wDOGE (enough for a couple of transactions) to anybody using the Synapse bridge. This ensures that any user of the Synapse bridge can start trading as soon as they arrive on Dogechain. As always with Synapse, bridge transfers between Dogechain and any chain connected by Synapse will typically be completed under 5 minutes.
Some of the projects using Synapse assets will be announced in the coming days and include both native Dogechain projects as well as some of the largest DeFi protocols which are planning to expand onto Dogechain. Additionally, Synapse is currently looking to partner up with protocols bringing the different DeFi legos on Dogechain. Additionally, Synapse is looking forward to working with any protocol building on Dogechain that has or may have a need for any ERC-20 asset that exists on one of the 17 different chains Synapse connects: if you require an asset on Dogechain, Synapse can facilitate it.
As Synapse will partner up with different protocols on Dogechain, before bridging your assets, please make sure there is enough liquidity for them on Dogechain.
Any protocol on Dogechain can list Synapse assets. The use of those assets is outside of Synapse control and does not mean Synapse has vetted that project.
