Greetings, Trailblazers!
As you all know, after the Season 3 claim period, we observed some irregularities that led to some fair-playing Trailblazers not receiving their well-deserved rewards. To address this, we created a form to gather your complaints and feedback. The Trailblazers program has always been about the community, and we always listen to your thoughts and this time was no different. We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes for the Taiko Community.
The Check Process
We collected more than 3,000 wallets and reviewed them all manually. The process was long and winding for two main reasons.
First, some Sybil accounts submitted the form in hopes of getting something, making the process unnecessarily bulky. Second, we had to cross-reference activities with known Sybil patterns.
We’re confident in the results, as we followed a “false positive unless there is evidence” approach. We know this might have allowed a few Sybil accounts to slip through, and we’re okay with that. Our priority was ensuring genuine users were made whole.
Of course, if you are a genuine user but chose to multi-wallet, this also meant you were excluded. We're okay with that too, as rules apply to everybody.
Wallets Eligible for Season 3 Rewards
After the review, the number of wallets receiving an extra allocation is: 792. You can check your eligibility here:
If your wallet is listed in the link above, you are going to receive your rewards, based on the level you would be at the end of Season 3. If your wallet is not in there, you were deemed ineligible.
As stated, we are confident in the results, and they are not up for debate. If a wallet was excluded, we had valid reasons. We cannot disclose these reasons, as doing so would only help Sybil clusters become even more sophisticated, making future seasons even harder to manage.
Wen Claim?
To avoid confusion, we’ve decided that claims for eligible wallets will happen alongside the Season 4 rewards distribution. So, if your wallet is eligible for Season 3 rewards as a result of the form, you’ll be able to claim them when the Season 4 claim happens.
Of course, if you continued participating with the same wallet during Season 4 and became eligible through the form, you will receive both Season 3 and Season 4 rewards at the same time.
Looking Ahead: Community First
Trailblazers program is moving forward at full speed, and we're entering an exciting Preconfirmations era together. This means our mainnet will become much faster, and the user experience will drastically improve. Of course, this brings brand new opportunities to get involved, opportunities our Trailblazers will no doubt want to seize. And we'll be listening to them as always.
