We’ve reimagined the comic book format for our youngest readers. That's right. By giving each funny story its own pages, we make each one clear, bold, and really easy to follow.
No tiny panels to overwhelm the senses, just big, bright, colourful fun on every page!
There is a catch though. We need you to help bring it into the world.
A word from our creator Jay Stansfield:
"Hello Squibble faces! It's been a good number of months now, maybe it's even been a year I've lost track but I've been working hard on 'possibly' one of the world's first ever 'splash comics'. It made sense to me to do it in this way, after realising graphic novels and comics might be a little overwhelming for some younger readers. I kind of wanted a way for them to transition from traditional picture books, to somewhere between those and graphic novels. There doesn't seem to be anything out there at the moment, it's a bit niche but I'm hoping this might inspire there to be more! It's called a splash comic because traditionally a splash page in a graphic novel, is just one panel on a page. They're normally used to highlight a key moment, introduce a character and introduce scenes.
I do have a habit of focusing on niche things and so that's where you come in, our wonderful niche Squibbles Crew. Let' get these funny stories starring Colin, Evie and Barry out into the wider world and show people who The Squibbles are and what we're doing! - Jay xx
