DCoop is playing ZAOstock.
ZAOstock is a free music festival on Saturday, October 3, on the Franklin Street Parklet in downtown Ellsworth, Maine. One stage, eight acts, noon to six. At six the street clears and it moves next door to Black Moon Public House for the ZAOstock after-party, with a DJ from 6 to 10 PM. It is part of the 9th annual Art of Ellsworth, during Maine Craft Weekend.
DCoop is one of the eight.
He is a hip-hop artist from the DMV and the founder of The VEC. His music is rooted in classic hip-hop but refuses to stay in one lane, pulling from reggae, rock, punk, tribal, country, EDM, and R&B. It is a genre-defying sound built around real, authentic passion, honoring where hip-hop came from while pushing into new territory. A lot of his music is intentionally tuned to frequencies between 432 and 900 Hz, with an emphasis on resonance, feeling, and creating something listeners can connect with rather than simply hear.
We have worked with him before. In July, we brought ZAOville to Laurel, Maryland together at the pool party chapter of the ZAO Festivals series, co-hosted by DCoop and The VEC. Free entry, open mic, live sets, and a DJ night swim to close. DCoop helped bring the Maryland chapter to life while also taking the stage for a set of his own.
