year of the zabal day 275
ZAOstock is today, and you don't have to be in Maine to be there.
From noon to six Eastern today, the whole outdoor block streams at zaostock.com/live. No sign-up, no account, no app. Open it now and keep it open.
Here's my ask. Host a watch party, even for one hour. Put the stream on in your room, your Discord, your space or your living room, and talk over it however you like. One channel carries clean event audio, so you can do your own thing on top of it. Nobody has to ask permission.
If you can only do an hour, pick one and tell us which. Here's how the day runs: The Crown Vics open at 12:05, OPEN X at 12:50, Grass Rug at 1:35, Acadia Rising at 2:20, Michael Anderson at 3:00, DCoop at 3:40, LyonsDen Rez Muzik at 4:25, and Tom Fellenz closes at 5:10. Things can shift by a few minutes, and the program has the latest.
Tell us your hour in The ZAO Discord or at info@thezao.com, and you go on the list of places to watch.
And if you're coming in person: today, Saturday, October 3, noon to six, on the Franklin Street Parklet in downtown Ellsworth, Maine. Free and all ages, and no ticket is checked. Park for free in the Franklin Street Parking Lot or at Ellsworth City Hall. At six the street clears and the after-party moves next door to Black Moon Public House, doors from 6 and music from 7 to 10.
This is the 4th ZAO Festivals chapter and the first one in Maine. It exists because a lot of people gave what they had: our partners, 8 acts, a crew of volunteers, and everyone who put something behind a day that costs nothing to attend. Thank you.
See you there, on the street or on the stream.
