My mom was officially influenced by Farcaster. She said she saw people talking about it, did some research, and bought it.
It’s actually kinda cool. And I can’t say anything. I was influenced to buy awesome candles, try certain restaurants, and grab some new skincare and supplements. I haven’t regretted a single purchase.
I think it’s because the core of the network is still small (I’d argue it’s the power badge crew +/- 1,000 folks who missed that era) and high trust.
It makes us vulnerable in a way we aren’t on other platforms but it also makes for really cool moments. I’m still here because of those moments.
I like that there is a wallet. I like that I can easily transact with crypto and mini apps, but it’s not why I came nor why I stay.
To me it’s a feature, and not the heart of this place. The heart is in the real people who show up and share cool things that make my life a little brighter, a little cooler, and a little better.

Ugh. I just watched ALL the Marvel trailers for Avengers Doomsday and I’m excited, annoyed, frustrated, and confused at the same time.
Are we just going to forget the movies and tv series in between? Are we doing more multiverse shenanigans? Is this going to actually make sense or is this just fan service now with no respect to continuity or plot?
I didn’t hate this last phase. I liked a lot of the new characters and passing the mantles and all that jazz, but it seems like we are just going backwards and I’m unsure how to feel about all of it.
I guess I get a year to process.
I just saved my family members some money setting them up with CostPlus (Mark Cuban’s Pharmacy) for some of their prescriptions that insurance doesn’t cover or I thought cost too much.
I’m glad I took the time to look up all their medications. There was an extra step of getting new RX from the doctors (they can’t transfer from other pharmacies) but I saved them real money for about 20 minutes of work.
I feel old yet really proud of myself.

Sigh. Fake Justin Bieber creator coin is doing better than most of our creator coins. This wasn’t the future of Web3 I imagined. It makes me a bit sad.
