its actually quite incredible what @jacek has done since he launched degen
hes one of the most ambitious founders out there. He has an idea and executes relentlessly. not everything has worked and will work, but few willing to go as hard as Jacek.
- created tipping / degen which led to growth of farcaster
- gave away $50M+ (priced at date of airdrops) and just counties to build
- launched an L3 in a couple months
- now building his own client and launched in only a couple months
- much more coming
Few things I have realized lately when using apps (as they relate to farcaster):
1. If login offers both Farcaster and X, I choose Farcaster every time. If it’s only X, I churn ~50% unless I really want to use the app or know the founder.
2. Farcaster Wallet has become my default for sending funds. The flows feel faster and more reliable. Buying USDC is still clunky in most apps (Courtyard is the only one where ApplePay consistently works for me).
3. Sending USDC from Farcaster feels easier than other wallets, even if the flow is nearly identical and maybe has an extra click.
4. In both auth and payments, using Farcaster just feels like more trust.

Brands should pay to remove ads from Redzone and then advertise the fact that they kept it ad free. Likely be better marketing than actually running ads.
