I get a lot of suggestions about using AI to study physics but there's something really healing to me about being offline again with just a textbook, paper, and pen learning and solving problems that challenge me. It fixes my brain that's been fried from being chronically online

My post about my experience self studying physics so far must have gotten shared among some physics crowd because I have all these physics phds + professors getting all excited and encouraging me. It's so nice to not get shat on for a change coming from crypto lol

I'm self studying physics, in the past 2 months went from forgetting trig to almost done with mechanics. I study daily from a university textbook plus a tutor in person 3x per week. Avoiding screens to focus better. It's been the best, never too late to learn something you want!

A lot of crypto founders could benefit from 1) doing more user interviews 2) learning how to conduct a good user interview (e.g. don't ask leading questions, seeing how someone is actually using your product, don't jump in immediately when someone pauses or gets stuck, etc)

Getting asked a lot what I'm doing next. I'm taking time to self study physics since it's been a life long dream of mine and only time off I've had in between work. Then try to start something in crypto again I'm passionate about but only if a sustainable business feels possible

I feel like a lot of the discourse around crypto can be divided into people who can imagine into the future and people who only see the current state of things based on what exists now. Major edge in having some imagination and optimism

I don't blame teams at all for pivoting esp those that gave it their all when building. Startups are incredibly tough let alone ones in crypto and there's so much context only the founders/team have to make the best decision for themselves. Easy to criticize not going through it

Crypto teams doing well now are mostly speculation related (trading, perps, prediction markets) or stablecoin/fintech. Lots of fun, nerdy things but tough for businesses in between (why a lot of pivots/shutdowns). I'm optimistic crypto x AI agents is genuinely useful long run

I'm dedicating most of tomorrow to doing 15 min calls if I can help anyone in the crypto space - founders who could use pitch feedback, newcomers who could use input, people navigating careers, etc. Only ask is just not generic questions like what is your background. DCs open!

I had wanted to major in physics in college but my parents swayed me out of it. It was always a bit of a regret of mine so I've been self studying it daily plus with my tutor and it genuinely makes me so happy. Never too late to learn something you're passionate about

I spent 8 years running my own businesses and the past 1 year joining a team. Pros and cons to each but hardest adjustment for me was ultimately not determining major decisions like a pivot or acquisition. Learned I missed being a founder so plan is to start something again
