Within the last week, I have seen three movies: Punch-Drunk Love, New York, New York, and American Beauty. One could refer to them as projects of the 2000s, but they all appeared very similar to me. Not in terms of the plot, but in terms of working with the genre-or better said- genres. All these movies have comedy, drama, melodrama, and even horror elements. It is my feeling that multi-genre cinema is so rare these days, and for that reason probably, the works of Kristoffer Borgli stand out ...
