A forgotten diary entry
At this point it wasn’t even love, just attraction. But it pulled at her hard and she could feel the way he infiltrated her space on this earth, the way he was starting to change her, reconfiguring an already fragile being. She saw attraction this way— jarring and altering and even annoying? That longing for no reason at all. They had chemistry, sure, but nothing, surely nothing, that deserved to wrap around her mind as often as he did.

If you look at the history of cinema/Hollywood or even the history of storytelling at large, you realize that storytelling/creativity always evolves to fit new technology as it comes. The agency system for example has been standard in the industry for under 100 years (a small blip in human history) and evolved out of the motion picture model which evolved out of the technology available.
