From what I can tell, not a lot of folks active in the Seoul daily high temp prediction markets are in Seoul or even Korea for that matter and simply don’t have the boots-on-the-ground ability to tell if a day is becoming warmer/cooler than forecast Yday was smoggy so I knew we’d probably hit higher than forecast so updated my prediction earlier in the day and was right

Just witnessed one of the craziest things ever on polymarket When I checked in on the Seoul daily high temp market I was expecting to see 4C in pole position, however, as soon as I opened the market 4C suddenly plummeted to 1% odds and 5C skyrocketed to 99% Literally right before my eyes I was simultaneously monitoring the resolution source though which never went above 39F (3.8C) so I immediately bought 100 shares for $1 just in case Low and behold a few minutes later 4C started climbing again BOOM BUT I was worried that the market may finalize late (or maybe never) on account of the obvious glitch, so I attempted to cash out around 85% odds only to run into a hung onchain txn that finalized when odds flash dropped again to 55% So instead of cashing out $85 I only walked away with $55. Sigh Oh well, gotta appreciate the cinema of weather markets
