The dogs are herding sheep around Williamsburg and other gentrified Brooklyn neighborhoods. These days, it’s the mid-sized fluffy dogs. There are some mid-to-large -sized fluffy dogs, yet most of them are middle-of-the-road sized. My guess is they get fed human grade dog food, like the Farmer’s Dog or whatever competitors VCs are funding these days. You see them everywhere in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A few years ago it was the breed that wore Canada Goose jackets. If they were in the neighborhood when the Canada Goose kills campaign went on, they probably removed the fur lining of their hoods. Maybe they did this in a show of remorse, more likely out of embarrassment or fear. BTW, unfortunately, even if you remove the fur lining the damage has been done already.
