My cat, Fiddle, is the epitome of a male, ginger, cat. He is super affectionate, social, and chill most of the time. He will lick your hand until your skin is raw. He wanders my home crying out for attention. Occasionally he will be a total spaz and run sideways across the room; his back hunched and his tail all poofy. He has shown me why the orange, male, tabby cat is such a favorite.

Been vibe coding with Claude since I got back from my trip. I’ll share the other completed projects in a bit. Excited about what I’m working on now. started making a three.js client for Decentraland back in the first week of June. It runs in a web browser just like the original client. The latest DCL desktop client only runs on Windows, Mac. Mobile runs on Android and iOS. Yesterday I forked his repo and found my first bug and fixed it. Today I am working on the alpha channels in PNG image textures. I prefer to run Linux as my OS and this new client makes that possible!

Sadness My youngest called me on the phone from our alley. They told me about this juvenile red-tailed hawk that was in the middle of the alley. After I confirmed it was dead, I gave it a burial in our backyard. With no sign of trauma, my guess is poison is what claimed the life of this majestic creature. Everything that lives Eventually dies

What if everybody did it? Before taking an action, apply the universal law formulation. Ask yourself, if this was applied by everyone, everywhere; does the action still work as intended or does it all fall apart? One such action that I believe does survive the universal application is altruism. However, I offer that it needs a slight modification. By selflessly caring for other people and their wellbeing, we still must consider ourselves, just a little bit. In our focus on the other, it only continues to work when we are in a safe, consistent environment. It is a matter of degrees really. Our focus at the time is on the other and their needs. But attention is ephemeral and impermanent. At the time of the act it is everything. The person we care for is all that matters. We do not consider the ends or the means, only the needs of the one. When it is done, we go on our merry way. We don't dwell on our own righteousness. We do good because it is the right thing to do. Especially when no one else is looking.

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. But that doesn’t look the way you might think on a curved surface. The first leg of my journey back home is almost complete. I had a lovely time in Spain. It will be good to be back home though.
