The block header relay network fetches block headers from the sender chain, creates proofs confirming their validity, and forwards both the headers and proofs to the updater contract on the receiver chain.

The updater contract maintains a light-client state, automatically integrating sender chain block headers once their associated proofs are authenticated. This process updates the sender chain's current main chain on the receiver chain.

● To Understand Better, Picture This...

Imagine you have two friends, one who speaks English and the other who speaks Spanish, and you want to communicate between them without understanding each other's language.

zkBridge is like a super smart messenger that helps you do this.

First, it collects messages from your English-speaking friend, then it creates special proofs to show that these messages are real and trustworthy. It then passes these messages and proofs to another friend who understands Spanish. This friend automatically updates their understanding of what's happening based on these messages, without needing to understand English directly.

So, zkBridge helps messages travel safely and get understood by different friends without them needing to learn each other's language.
