Amaranth is a completely unique vegetable and at the same time a medicinal and ornamental annual plant. Its homeland is South America and Africa. There are 68 species produced there, the height of which ranges from 15 cm to 3 m.

In Latin American countries, amaranth is grown as a grain crop - it is used to make flour, bake bread and various confectionery products. The stems and leaves are used to feed livestock. Amaranth oil is widely used both in the food industry and in medicine.
