IT House, 7 May, São Paulo’s newly launched virtual reality equipment PSVR2 has not only advanced technology and abundant play resources, but also a unique feature of the Land Horizon: Mountain Call. However, there is also a clear shortcoming of this equipment, which can only be used on PS5 mainframes and not be compatible with PC platforms as other competitors. Today, however, it has been stated online that they have successfully dismantled the PSVR2 hardware certification mechanism to allow it to operate on PC.
The news was first revealed at the NeoGAF Forum, followed by a photograph issued by a user named iVRy, showing the words “PSVR2 has been certified!”. iVRy is a developmenter of a passenger application whose application allows users to enforce the use of VR equipment in other proceedings, including the first generation PSVR. iVRy indicated on the extraordinarily that they had broken the encryption of PSVR2, but they could not reveal a specific method, which might lead to Sonia’s legal prosecution.
While hardware certification has been dismantled, a driving procedure is required for the proper functioning of PSVR2 on PC, which allows for rigg controlrs to be used in applications and games that do not support them, such as the first generation of “Knowledges”. However, there is currently no PSVR2-driven process, and the development of such a driving procedure is time-consuming and complex, requiring anti-engineering jet agreements and extensive speculation and testing.
So there is still a long way to go to allow PSVR2 to operate on PC. Of course, it does not exclude the sudden issuance of an official driving procedure by Sonia to enable PSVR2 to support the VR game on the PC platform. So can only wait to see which side of action is taken, whether it is the official or the hardware lover? This will remain a concern for IT House.
