Bittensor's vision is to create a blockchain-based artificial intelligence market. They are a decentralized p2p network. They are building on substrate (Polkadot ecosystem). They have parachains planned for Polkadot in Q4 2022. At the moment cex listing they are planning for Q1 2023. #AI is a broad concept - they are targeting, among other things, text/article writing by AI or graphics based on text (you type a word or phrase and AI takes a unique picture for you). We already have quite a few of these types of solutions on the market. However, they are not yet fully operational. Below are some examples.
Nice tweet that coolly depicts the effects of these AI solutions (look in the comments of the tweet). When I saw where this had already gone I got a little shocked and started poking around the #AI topic in terms of graphics or text.
CreativeBuilds on their twitter writes about Dalle , that Bittensor are building something better than #Dalle2 (Dale2 hasn't launched yet, they have a test whitelist for now). I know Dalle and they got a follow from me on twitter about a few weeks ago. They are building something similar to what I am looking forward.

They didn't have tokens in private or seed because those rounds weren't there. Team also has as many tokens - as they mine. So TEAM can be compared to Satoshi Nakamoto. He also had as much BTC as he mine for himself 👀
The foundation's initial business model (i.e. what they currently run) is that the foundation itself is a miner on the network and mines $TAO to support itself. The revenue model will likely evolve into something closer to the Mozilla foundation setup, which consists of donations, for-profit projects (marketplace AI). And even consulting services. However, that is for a later time, as we are not at that stage yet. For the moment, blockchain is working. But for example, they are still working on explorer all the time. We are so early that for the moment it is very difficult to even for the dev to check how many tokens came from a given address.
