Question: what can I do now that I can benefit a lot in 5 years? I sincerely appreciate all the comments. You should probably know that I am 23 years old, and I am a physics student. I am eager to make continuous progress in my major and in all aspects of my life. This question first appeared on quora. My answer to this question is:
Eat healthy and take care of yourself.
Try not to apply cosmetics on your face or body. All cosmetics (in large or small quantities) are full of harmful chemicals, which enter your blood stream directly from your skin, resulting in many problems (you can hardly see or feel them immediately).
Exercise. Exercise actively and do what you like, so you can reap double benefits.
Respect your family and friends and don't let them down. However, don't do something just because others will do it. Do what you think is right. Make yourself more determined, because you are not the only one in the world who feels that way.
Read quality stuff! Reading injects wisdom into your thoughts, allows them to communicate, and allows you to meditate quietly. Reading makes you fuller and smarter.
Start learning a new skill. Mastering a foreign language is always an advantage. Also, you can do a little research on skills that may become important in the future and will be appreciated in your field of expertise. For example, you can learn to use ICT effectively, including professional software packages and some programming. You can also start to study the application of your knowledge in other fields, which may bring you some interesting inspiration.
Study hard and you will go further. Talent alone is not enough. As we all know, less talented people work harder. Many talented people think that their talent can be competent for all jobs. Guess what? The answer is no, because not using imperfections means not respecting your talents (being talented also means having responsibility). Hard working people are successful people. If they happen to be talented people, they are bound to do great things.
Don't be too hard on yourself or too self critical. If you really feel that you can't do something now - take a break, make yourself feel comfortable, or even indulge yourself a little.

People can have a million different ideas about a thought or idea. Don't be stubborn in one aspect without a head. At least don't rush to take action until you know other aspects. If you disagree with certain behaviors or opinions of others, at least try to understand them. Understanding someone doesn't mean you agree with him, it will make your point of view more open. One important thing you should remember is that everything in the world can be changed.
