The silver moon hangs o’er the tranquil bay, Where whispering waves in gentle rhythms play. A lonely sail drifts toward heaven’s edge, As stars above pledge their eternal pledge. An old sage sits on mossy river stone, His thoughts adrift in memories long flown. He recalls spring blooms on southern shore so fair, And autumn winds that tousled his gray hair. Two fireflies dance in bamboo’s faintest shade, Weaving through reeds where night’s secrets are laid. The world sleeps on, yet wisdom stay...
