Welcome to aerochrome ☕. IGO's writing...
Brought to you by my confusion and slight disappointment, this post covers a particular topic based on my personal experience regarding DAOs.
Before my web3 re-onboarding this year, I was once a busy, involved person during 2022–2023 within the learning scope of this tech. Nothing in particular bugged my brain. I could, in fact, take great advantage of what blockchains, crypto, decentralization, and social value had (and still have) to deliver fast-forward in this society's lifetime. I have always been comfortable with every term used in this space, and I particularly believe in the concept of DAOs, although I was never involved in any.
From this point on, you couldn't convince me that DAOs wouldn't have solid adherence and strong communities. Letting aside my mostly offline 2024, I began making steps to return to web3 communities in 2025, and I swore to start seeing the potential of DAOs. And that’s what I did: I joined them!
Oh a scam 😧 I bet moderators are already aware of thi- Oh? Another one. And anothe- Well... Is anyone out here?

And if you ask me, “Oh but did you bypass all their verifications? Introduced yourself? Onboarding calls, if they exist…” — Hell yeah. There’s usually also another lost soul on the server, confused as much as I am, but with the guts to say: “There haven’t been many messages for a long time. Is anyone out there?”
I've managed to find two of these communities to contribute to, but one is very much silent from time to time. So to all of you DAO's out there: What's poppin'?
This comes as a genuine concern. We're not exactly striking in accessibility within web3, and dying as a community reveals instability and a breach of promise to what could potentially be delivered.
