More rambles today, I've been trying to make sense of everything in warpcast. I don't know if its because I have general anxiety about trying to connect with people, or I have a tendency to miss out on these 10000x airdrops because I didn't have the funds to complete the initial tasks, or if its something else. But, it's been a weird journey so far.
Something that's moderately related. Here are my Degen Allocations look like this as of 3/10/2024. They’ve been bumbling around, not going much higher than 200. Ive had to battle people with more money, and mostly bots in trying to get a decent DEGEN allocation. But I wonder, is this actually the point of existing on warpcast? Is this the point of DEGEN?
I’ve dropped about 700 people since the last time I checked this, earlier this week. (At the time of writing, I've actually dropped to about 1690. If you are a believer that the more you post, the higher your allowance becomes, I can PARTIALLY stand as testament to this being true.
I haven’t had much interest in posting lately, but that is coming back as we end out the weekend. The little things can be the most inspiring. At the same time, I realize that I am not a programmer, I'm not as much of a writer as I used to be. I'm just a person in their late 30s wandering around.
I'm not sure how I feel about the ranking for DEGEN allocations. Are they fair? Probably so. But perhaps I'm feeling like they are not as fair, because my rank is dropping without much understanding as to why.
I’ve run into a few interesting things while running around Farcaster lately. There a fair share of excitement, of vibes, and a few questions that I have regarding how this truly helps anyone in society.
How does this help a regular person, in a dead end job, feel less like they have nothing left to give to society? It’s (Farcaster/Warpcast/Whatever) a fascinating world hands down. The fact that I'm pondering these things makes me think that there's more to this platform than meets the eye. Here’s what I’ve seen so far:
I invested 1 month into this hypersub. Mostly because I accidentally (hah) gambled away 80 dollars worth of Solana a solid before the recent ETH pump on Degenspin making it a not possible for me to invest more at the time (more on that later.)
I earned a reward of .004 ETH (for just existing maybe? I’m not sure.) but Purp is a legend on Warpcast (from what I’ve seen) so it seemed like a decent investment. Here’s what I know about the Growth Tank:
Investment club
ETH gets earned every month (a percentage depending on how long you subscribed)
There seems to be a chance to get airdropped tokens (thats cool)
Blue chip (based blue chip) NFT possibilities exist here. You could be airdropped an NFT.
I need to learn more, but, picking up .004 eth was a nice surprise for someone who didn’t quite understand how hypersub works. I'm learning, so that's cool.
I play degenspin because its kind of fun. The app is trash on mobile, you cant always see the spins, and of course, its pure gambling, so that in itself can be a problem for impulsive people like myself.
Degenspin is a game that runs on the solana network. Degencoinflip is also a game that runs on Solana. Using solflare for my wallet is perfectly fine, however, you often see the "Reload Webview" error, or some variation of that error on the app. That can either leave you frustrated, or if you're like me, indifferent, because you don't want to see yourself actually lose the money you gamble. I'm clearly a person who should not gamble.
Perl is a crypto based game on base (pun intended) and involves a lot of risk-taking. I am not very good at playing the Perl game. I think I deserve a prize for losing the most. It also doesn't help that I started with a low amount of perl to bet with 😂. But check out my stats below and admire this achievement.
DEGEN is a token that has become amazingly regen in its quest for full fledge DEGEN activities. The token has been airdropped to hundreds, if not thousands of people across the world. You have the ability to give degen to others who you found to be interesting on Warpcast.
Yet, there have been investment rounds to invest in DEGEN, in the past, there has been a small group of people making decisions on airdrops, and there are now investment plans for DEGEN, starting with the recent 10 million DEGEN investment in Perl (the game I'm absolutely terrible at).
Do you think that this practice is good for the long run? Will people stick with DEGEN as the airdrops continue, and as investments come in?
The tokens aren’t decentralized. In a sense, perhaps that is okay. From what I understand, one person can make a decision for upcoming airdrops. I want to say that
I fight the urge to decide whether this community is real, and whether this will continue to be real, if it is real. I like this, so far. However, I’m concerned if this community will continue to help people of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds.
Will this be something that can bring potential network state. Will it be something that can bring a new paradigm to governments across the world?
Oh, I also came back to writing this after 3 days. I now have thrown out the idea that the more you post, the more you can receive. Here’s the numbers as of 3/13
If season 1 has ended, there should not be movement in that particular tips rank. If I am “active” then, the number should go up, right? Apparently not. 🤷🏾♀️
I’ve been minting nfts often. Cyber Cats, Based LP, Odegen, and more. I’ve seen the FOMO from missing out on NFTs. Missed purchases, being screwed out of NFT sales; and more.
The creators make those mints feel like you are dipping your toes in gold. There have been owners that have made thousands of dollars for the privilege to have consumers such as myself scramble to purchase these NFTs.
Have any of these NFTs resulted in serious utility for the minter? I’ve had a mixed results. I don’t necessarily mind because the art is beautiful, but does this end up being wealth continuing to be imbalanced?
Also, what exactly are we minting for? The promise of more wealth? The ability to sell? The ability to dunk on normies?
This is all just life, living. We all need something to make us smile.
Does it make a difference if you dont have money?
Does it make a difference if you dont have money? Just a post.
