We all know alfafrens. Social finance apps that are based on a decaying subscription method where your earnings are streamed versus claimed at the end of an epoch.

The team hasn’t given much of a primer on how to succeed, but users have taken to the streets to make up for what the team has not been able to do.

A lot of guides have focused on how to bring attention to your channel for subscriptions, and not much else. Legit, but there’s more to the story when it comes to this game.

Alright guys I’ve been trying to work on making sense of Alfafrens. It seems like there has been a huge lull when it comes to the excitement behind Alfafrens lately.

This is when I finally got to being degen positive for longer than 5 minutes. Sheesh.

Edit: I was negative for a more than 5 minutes.. haha

Alfa Frens has been a difficult road, with a lot of ups and downs. It feels like maybe the team may not be as focused. Or there may be a period of rest before the next phase moves forward.

Social Finance was meant to be a clear way for people to curate, create and consume content. They utilize the platform to make a living, and succeed.

The multiple platforms that have come before, have come so Alfa Frens can have the chance to succeed.

Goal here is to try and help as many people as possible to learn from a regular “normie” person who’s trying to wade through the social finance landscape.

This is by no means an expert take. It’s more rambles and thoughts to keep me understanding the ecosystem. But more so an observation. Here’s some steps that I’ve considered in my never ending struggle with this platform.

1. reach out to the community for advice if the team is not as responsive

   A lack of information with respect to how to achieve in Alfafrens makes it difficult for the social finance platform on a few different fronts. This lack of information makes it difficult not only to succeed personally without previous connections in Warpcast/Farcaster, but it also makes it difficult for Alfafrens as a platform itself to succeed.

   

   For the amount of information that alfafrens lacks, other members have picked up the slack.

   Alfafrens initially lead with a primer on how Alfafrens via their notion page. I wish that the platform itself took more effort to guide users through the platform as well.

   Alfafrens channels Zenigame, Tormential, and others have come through with information to help folks make better decisions on how to earn. Zenigame has Zeni’s Alfafrens Welcome Guide. Tormential, for lack of a better term, usurped the market for onboarding members onto Alfafrens.

   Those who I’ve mentioned have been instrumental in helping me understand my journey. They’ve been open to helping others understand their journey as well. In a world where we don’t really understand what can be happening in social finance, it’s always good to have friends to help.

2. Subscriptions are not always the end all be all for income, you have other ways to earn.

   It looks like your better balance is to stake heavier on a smaller number of users. Unless you are highly over the top with profit, most large subscriptions can kick you back into negative.

   Alfa has 3 tiers of channels; 500 DEGENx, 1000 DEGENx, and 1500 DEGENx. The majority of folks, myself included, automatically went with the lower tier thinking that would entice folks to sub to our channel.

   The lower tie can give the allusion of making the best bang for your buck.

   But the lower tier also can be the least cost effective when it’s time to stake Alfa.

   

   I understand that 500 $ALFA per month is the goal.

3. If you are useless with respect to creation like myself, use your channel for notes on how your experience has gone with the app.

   Don’t give up the chance to take notes on your experience. You can do so while learning in public. It’s just a matter of not giving up. If you don’t think you’re creative, create content to help you better understand the platform.

Social Finance has not cracked the code with respect to a solid app, with a solid learning curve, where you have total control over the data you create and the earnings potential you can achieve.

Alfafrens made the effort while making a step towards cracking the code, but were not there yet.
