Today I develop new AI and it's great to get emails and updates from other AI researchers and others all over the world. Please remember that much of AI research is done in the open or at least accessible to the public. Also, please remember that in AI we’re still developing code. Code is either proprietary or open. These are not related to expertise and results but mostly to availability

But, code is code and, often, just code. Although we can write a great code, we still do so by programming computers that do the thinking. These computers, in turn, write code, and so on until the code reaches a higher level of complexity. And all the code is made of one word or one algorithm, no matter how deep the machine or code. We call such a software process a computer program and we can relate many things to a computer program.

One example of a computer program that's just code and not deep in its memory is an email message. When an email message is written, its code is automatically made and carried by a mailbox. And that code.
