Dr Imdad completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Rutgers University, focusing on graph algorithms, and has an M.S. from LUMS, where he explored online algorithms for itemset counts. Dr. Imdad has also been a strategic advisor to Alethea AI, and we are thrilled to have him join us in an executive capacity, where his expertise will be critical to our mission. Dr. Imdad currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where he has been instrumental in leading cutting-edge research and teaching.
Dr. Imdad co-authored a collaborative research paper with Alethea AI’s co-founders, Arif Khan and Ahmad Matyana, titled “Liquidity Is All You Need.” The paper delved into the critical aspects of liquidity in decentralized AI systems, highlighting the innovative approaches that Alethea AI is pioneering. Dr. Imdad’s research spans several domains, including:
Graph and Social Network Analysis: He has developed algorithms for graph summarization, node classification, and missing data imputation, significantly advancing the field’s understanding and practical applications.
Sequence Analysis: His work includes innovative methods for biological sequence classification and SARS-CoV-2 variant identification, leveraging machine learning for efficient and scalable solutions.
Neuroimaging and Health Informatics: Dr. Imdad has contributed to brain tumor detection models and protein sequence classification, combining AI with health data to improve diagnostic tools.
Text Analytics: His research in language-independent sentiment analysis and SMS classification has broad implications for natural language processing applications.
Energy Data Analytics: Dr. Imdad has also focused on short-term load forecasting and power consumption modeling, addressing critical challenges in energy management.
Dr. Imdad is a dedicated educator, teaching courses in algorithms, big data analytics, and discrete mathematics. He has supervised numerous theses, guiding students in producing impactful research and preparing them for careers in AI and computer science.
As our Chief AI Scientist, Dr. Imdad will spearhead our academic research and development in generative AI and blockchain.
