Hey! It is a text review of Saga — the most anticipated protocol in the Cosmos ecosystem.

Saga is a protocol for automatically provisioning application-specific blockchains in the multichain metaverse. They are building this by rearchitecting developer and end user interactions with blockchains. When Saga achieves at least 30% of its goals, new protocols will have such an easy way to build web3 games and NFT oriented products. They will not have to know how the blockchain they are building on works, they will think only about what they build, how to bring new experience to the community while Saga takes the rest. But to understand better the problems Saga solves, let’s look at them.

Everything has its limits. Present blockchains aren’t exception. They have problems with:

• Scalability. Even now the amount of users are higher then scalability of the blockchains. It leads to high gas fees (Ethereum) or network congestions (Polygon, Solana). So today projects are limited to the scalability level of the blockchains they are building on. Even if we had a web3 AAA game blockbuster today, it could not have really a large community because after a particular amount of active users the network that game based on would die (“die” in this case means high gas fees or low transactions speed making user’s game experience unacceptable).

• Technical blockchain limits. Building a web3 project on present blockchains means accepting their limits. Building a projects on Ethereum means you must accept its high gas fees. Building a projects on Solana means you must accept its haltings. Building a projects on Aptos you must accept its lack of compatibility with other blockchains. So it seems today we have community and builders for blockchains, but not blockchains for community and builders.

The developers have to know how to work with blockchains first and only then think how to build what they want. Users have to know what gas tokens they need, what wallet they need to interact with the protocol (game for example) the want. Obviously this situation is bad and uncomfortable for everyone.

Saga takes away all that “dirty” work from the developers. Saga lets them set up their own blockchains with their own traits, gas model and etc. The developers even don’t need to think about a validators set and security of their blockchain! Saga will provide such service making life of the developers easier. And when the developers are free of thinking about security, gas, scalability they can think about the product they build, making user experience better, trying different cash flow models.

Saga’s mission is to give developers what they need to build in the multiverse. Web3 has already evolved to the point where new infrastructure configurations and token mechanisms are necessary to keep up with the growth of the industry. Saga’s unique network meets this moment.
