The Transition Council finalized the Black Flag DAO Codex on April 11, 2025.
The Codex outlines the DAO's structure and governance. It details three membership types: Flag Curious, Flag Raiser, and Flag Bearer. The Codex establishes a voting framework for different types of decisions, specifying discussion periods, eligible voters, and quorum requirements.
Please give it a read to familiarize yourself with its contents!
The inaugural Flag Keeper election is underway!
A key component of the DAO's new structure is an elected Flag Keeper Council, responsible for the DAO's operational stewardship and treasury management. Until 7pm UTC on Monday April 21, Flag Bearers may self-nominate on the Forum for one of seven Flag Keeper seats, and next week we'll hold a Snapshot vote.
At the conclusion of the Flag Keeper election, the Transition Council will dissolve, but its members will be available to aid in transitioning authority to the Flag Keeper Council.
Once the Flag Keeper Council is in place, it's time for the community to reignite! Let's hear your ideas for activities, events, or whatever to bring to life our purpose of vibing, thriving, and exploring decentralized systems.
If you're not yet a member of the DAO, you're welcome to hop into the Discord and follow the steps to claim the Flag Curious role. That will enable you to join some discussions and get to know what we're all about.
Here’s an opportunity for both current and past members of our DAO. If you held and voted with BANK, tlBANK, or the new BFD PoolTogether token, you should be eligible.
DAOBase is having a TGE (token generation event) soon and all you have to do is sign up to be included. Check out this Medium article for the details.
