If you blinked, you probably missed something big.
From Cohort II’s graduation to two Uniswap v4 meetups, May at Blockfuse Labs felt like NYSC passing out parade, Lagos traffic, and Detty December—all rolled into one.
Here’s everything that went down.
After 20 weeks of brain work and boot camping, our Cohort II devs don collect their flowers.
What started with “what is a smart contract?” ended with them building dApps, writing smart contracts, and developing a knack for real-world solutions.
On May 28, we held a Telegram AMA where graduates shared their journey—from “abeg, wetin be Web3?” to “see the dApp we built.”
Here is a flash summary of Our Cohort II Boot camp report:
152 admitted (127 Web2, 25 Web3) out of 346 applicants
115 graduates: 100 Web2 certified developers and 15 blockchain developers
840+ hours of hands-on coding
Hackathon glory: Top 2 in the Avax Codebase Pitch Competition
500+ smart contracts deployed, 12 dApps built, and 2 projects currently in incubation
Alumni are already contributing to platforms like OnlyDust, Cairo Book, and more.
We kicked off the month with heavy infrastructure gbas gbos.
The Base IRL Workshop was all about getting hands-on with Base, building for scale, and understanding how L2 can reduce stress like NEPA restoring light after 3 days of darkness. See more details here.
Dev turn-up was mad. Web3 infra is no be child’s play, but we made it simple, clear, and understandable.
Tech bros dey code… but can they ball?
We launched a brand-new Starknet Bootcamp to train devs on Cairo, ZK rollups, and all the cryptographic wizardry powering tomorrow’s dApps. See How it has been happening.
African devs no dey carry last. And this bootcamp? It’s already cooking hot.
On May 22, we honoured the most expensive pizza ever bought—10,000 BTC worth!
Bitcoin’s journey started with pizza—ours continues with people. See how we celebrated on X.
Still on May 28, we hosted the Avalanche Codebase Pitch Competition.
Our devs brought the fire 🔥 The pitches showed one thing—if you give African devs tools + community, they will build magic. Here is how it Went down.

The Jos tech ecosystem is not sleeping!
We hosted the second Uniswap v4 Meetup in May, and this time it was even deeper—Hooks, Singleton architecture, and flash accounting (yes, money matters).
From traders to techies, everybody showed up. Jos was simply on fire 🔥.
