Bridges everywhere, for everyone 🙌
This post was originally published on February 27th, 2025 on X, you can view it here.Today we're happy to reveal our new vision for Superbridge, Bridges everywhere, for everyone 🙌 Our initial vision for Superbridge was simple - let people bridge to rollups with the best user experience and no fees. Back then the Superchain was just an idea, there were only a few networks live and our focus was on making the 7 day withdrawal flow as intuitive as possible. We had this neat side scroll nav...

With the Superbridge you can bridge ETH and other assets like USDC back and forth between your favourite chains, with absolute peace of mind that your funds are secure. Check it out today at superbridge.app and if you’re a network looking to provide bridging services to your users, just get in touch! One of the coolest features ...

Relay x Superbridge
Relay routes are now live on Superbridge! With Relay, it’s never been easier to jump between Superchain networks than right now, with more of the 80+ chains Relay supports coming to a place near you soon. Why Relay?Built by Reservoir, Relay is one of the leading intent based bridging protocols. As the name suggests, Relay is powered by Relayers. Relayers hold assets on each of the 100+ networks supported, enabling faster-than-finality (often < 10s), low cost and secure bridging. For us at Supe...

LayerZero OFTs are now live on Superbridge!
Now assets like USDe, ZRO and WBTC can flow between networks with the same great UX you’ve come to love with Superbridge.

Omnichain Fungible Tokens are a protocol for bringing assets to multiple chains. Existing, siloed assets can be made multichain with adapter contracts, where assets are locked/unlocked on the source chain, or deployed natively across chains from the beginning.
OFTs are built to be extensible, with token teams ultimately owning the deployed contracts - configuring security parameters and more - the LayerZero messaging and verification systems underpin all cross chain interactions.
As a result we see a wide array of OFTs existing in the wild, with LayerZero Labs providing many off the shelf solutions for developers,
Built-in rate limiting, where teams set a threshold on how much volume can flow in or out of a chain
Mint and burn adapters, for tokens that have pre-existing mint and burn functionality, allowing LayerZero to be added to the cross-chain messaging layer
PayPals’ PYUSD is a great example of a mint and burn OFT
Native token adapter, for rollups or chains using custom gas tokens, OFTs allow bridging out of these assets immediately, without needing to observe any rollup finality delays
Degen is an Arbitrum Orbit rollup on top of Base, but uses the OFT standard for DEGEN bridging
Alternative payment tokens, allowing LayerZero relayers to collect fees in more stable assets
Bridging fees, for some teams per bridge transaction fees are desirable, and these can easily be configured on an as needed basis.
Currently deployed across 120+ networks, LayerZero is the leading choice for many when choosing an interoperability provider.
Not constrained to the EVM (chains like Ethereum Mainnet, Base, Arbitrum, etc), LayerZero has production deployments live on Solana, Aptos and Hyperliquid - much more from us here soon!
With top notch developer tooling, including but not limited to,
LayerZero makes it easy to build secure and robust omni-chain applications.
With Superbridge we’re all about native bridging, and for many OFTs, LayerZero is the native bridge! Most OFTs can’t be bridged via other means, so fast bridging is the standard, not an add on.
With hundreds of OFTs live on Superbridge now, across a range of networks including Arbitrum, Base and Ethereum Mainnet, we’re well on our way to being the home of native bridging.
We have some exciting plans for the next few months so stay tuned!
