Normally, Christmas is all about family, eggnog, and warm fires. π€π₯π₯Notβ¦ streaking on a racetrack and carousel through a snowball fight? ποΈβοΈ
TL;DR: Ledger dropped the ball on everyone hard, and we couldnβt safely connect any wallets until they fixed their oopsie. π€¦
To their credit, they made quick work of the issue, and weβre all back on track. π
But for maximum safety, we all shed our usual skins, took our newly-naked avatars, and did what any well-adjusted group of digital artists, collectors, enthusiasts, and memers would do:
A naked metaverse sprint. π
Where else but the longest-running, community-first metaverse hub, where lightning strikes every Thursday at 7 pm UTC, do you find such festivities? π
After some haphazard coordination, the anonymous naked avatars began pouring into the HyperFy parcel. πͺ

The process was surprisingly smooth β the WIP Community is used to on-the-fly shenanigans, which may partially explain how we could self-organize so seamlessly. π
β¦sort of. Some of us may or may not have tried to start avatar uprisings, and I sort of forgot I was dressed as a coffee cup. Small details that we quickly ironed out. πβ

We then zipped over The Philosopherβs Maze in Voxels, a seemingly quaint yet sprawlingly large maze contained within one of the parcels there. Itβs easy to get turned around. π΅βπ«
It was unexpectedly surprising to see these glowing white, naked avatars fly through the maze β two speedy fly-bys actually gave me a jump scare! π

Even more scary than the lightning-fast naked avatars were the risks taken by some of the WIP Crewβ¦ Matthew accidentally braved fate, and we all learned that some NFT assets automatically load. πΆοΈ
And seriously, no Matthews or NFTs were harmed during the making of this screenshot. π¦Ί

With the maze complete, it was now time for something completely different. Something for which some of you came VERY prepared. ποΈ

With our engines now heated, we hopped over to CodeTrip City, a fantastic collaboration between Paradox and NineOverZero! π€
This wasnβt our first lap on the track β we took it for a spin earlier this year, and many of us were chomping at the bit to redeem ourselves. π€
But before that, we were all a bit ready for some holiday cheer, so we stopped by the Pixelcahin Cabin in Voxels for some milk and cookies. πͺ

With cheer in our hearts and burning rubber on our minds, we were ready to rock and roll to the racetrack. ποΈ
We popped over the Code Trip City, and before we knew it, we were over the line and sprinting down the track!... π£οΈ

β¦okay, while I wasnβt able to redeem myself, a lot of you did REALLY well. ππ
Thereβs a jump halfway through the track that I can never quite land β Metageist caught an epic clip of it. πΈ

With some of us taking home the gold and redeeming our driving records (not meβ¦ next time, though), we were ready for our WIP Christmas capstone event! π
Our unclothed cohort then dropped into the heartwarming Christmas venue made by VoxVienne, complete with its own festive merry-go-round and snowballs! β

The environment is adorable β the shopkeepers wish you holiday tidings, and the interactive balloon lets you see the world from above without needing to brave the cold! π
Weβre not sure what the legal weight limit is for these types of machinesβ¦ but no clothes mean lighter avatars, right? π€

Christmas is a beautiful time of year. β¨
It gives us a warm, fuzzy sort of feeling knowing that you can get a year-sized dose of holiday cheer, complete with friends, fun, and festivities, right here at the WIP Meetup.
We at the WIP wish everyone a fun, safe, and meaningful holiday season celebrated the way you love the most. β£οΈ
Hopefully, weβre somewhere on that list β this coming week is officially WIPmas, and weβll be dishing out holiday goodies galore! ππ
So join us then on Thursday, 7 pm UTC, and remember to follow us on Twitter and join the Discord! π
