Hall of Famer and former Knicks star Willis Reed died of heart failure on March 21 at the age of 80. Many stars, including Carmelo Anthony (Carmelo Anthony), LeBron James (LeBron James), expressed their condolences. Reed was selected by the Knicks with the first pick in the second round (8th overall) in 1964, and has been playing for the Knicks since then, leading the team to two championships and being dubbed the "King of New York". The NBA has twice selected the 50 Greatest Stars and 75 Greatest Star Lineups, and Reed is among them. He was also selected into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1982.
