When we minted CryptoVenezian #999 in Venice last April, it marked the end of an extraordinary journey—spanning four continents, three years, and 30,000 works of art. In a world of bright shiny objects — where new tokens appear daily and too many companies linger without purpose — there was something deeply satisfying about completion. We did what we said we would do, and it was beautiful.

A few weeks later, sitting alone in the Hollywood Hills, I was caught by a profound emptiness. For years, we had lived with a single goal, fueled by adrenaline, creativity, and the challenge of the next mint. And then it was over.

Our project reached several defining moments in 2024:

• Completing the Citizen Roadmap: Live minting of 1,000 CryptoParisians in Paris in February, followed in April by live minting 1,000 CryptoVenezians in Venice, Italy during the Biennale.

• Christie's Auction: The London sale featured a single landmark lot that included NFTs from more than 100 of our generative and AI art projects.

• Art Basel Partnership: In December, we partnered with Art Basel Miami and introduced DREAM-0, bringing real-time AI art to the traditional art world.

Bright Moments has evolved from a three-year live minting project into an ongoing ecosystem. When we decided to align interests through NFTs in 2021, rather than traditional equity, we created a new community-owned model where our collectors would have exposure to all of our future initiatives.

Our 10,000 CryptoCitizens are held across 2,500+ unique wallets, and represent one of the most significant collections in the generative art space. Your Citizen is more than just a work of art, however; it's your stake in a growing portfolio of ventures:

• Bright Moments Labs: Phil is leading our new software and services company, which is developing onchain creator tools such as view.art and amps.fun. With Bright Moments DAO as its anchor stakeholder, Labs has attracted additional capital from USV and Collab & Currency. For its first project, Labs is working with a renowned collector on a new IRL concept in the heart of Silicon Valley.  BM DAO holds a 30% stake in Labs.

• Dream Computing: Founded by the artist Huemin, Dream Computing is designing AI experiences that generate video through real-time interaction. Investors include Ribbit Capital. More than $200K of revenue has been generated so far from a limited series of 10 machines. The team is now focused on DreamStream: a premium web version of its hardware experience.  BM DAO holds a 15% stake in Dream.

• SpiritKraft: From "Where art is born" to "Where artists are born," SpiritKraft is a new project to develop autonomous artists: independent entities with their own practices, tokens, treasuries, and decision-making abilities. Our goal over the next few months is to launch our first in-house spirit, and work with some of our favorite BM artists to train new ones. 30% of the $SPIRIT token supply will be allocated to CryptoCitizens.

Meanwhile, we continue to promote the provenance of the 30,000 art works that were generated during our roadmap and to screen our documentary film “Venice to Venice.” We are organizing gatherings over the course of 2025, with an eye towards Art Basel, FarCon, Paris Photo, Art Blocks Marfa, and more.

By nurturing these ventures while telling the story of our original roadmap, we're creating new pathways for participation while staying true to our founding vision.
