First off, a huge thank you to everyone that voted for us in Octant's Epoch 6 Snapshot vote. We didn't make the top 18 projects in the end, but your support has motivated us to keep working towards our mission of helping the ReFi space demonstrate and promote its impact.
It was an interesting year for ReFi. The bear market persisted for most of it, forcing some projects to shutter and motivating others to keep building. We saw new ecosystems emerge and existing ones expand. We saw BioFi (bioregional financing) and Impact DePIN generate a ton of interest, while ReFi itself took a bit of a back seat.
Much remains uncertain moving forward, but what we do know is that 2024 brought with it some clarity around the potential for ReFi to facilitate the funding of solar energy production, not to mention the potential of ecological credits verified and issued on-chain.
