The Public Goods Club (PGC) is funding innovative projects, with five winners each receiving 0.5 ETH in the current Uplink grant round. Voting is essential, but it’s tied to tokens generated from PGC NFTs, not just the NFTs themselves.
Mint a PGC NFT: Holding an NFT alone won’t allow you to vote.
Generate Voting Tokens: Only NFTs minted before September 30th are eligible to generate the tokens needed to vote. Each NFT holder gets 5 votes.
Founder Trav explained that an issue arose where only tokens held before a certain snapshot were eligible to vote. However, Uplink has since fixed this, and anyone who purchased a token before September 31st can now vote.
One of the projects in this round is Fashion For Hope: Clothing Orphans in Nigeria. This initiative, led by Oyarebu Adulphus Gladys (Gneric), aims to design and distribute custom-made outfits for orphans in Nigeria, coupled with a "Sip and Paint" event to inspire creativity and uplift their spirits.
Fashion For Hope focuses on both immediate support through clothing and a long-lasting emotional impact by creating a memorable experience for the children.
The timeline of the project spans six weeks, from design and material sourcing to the production of custom outfits and hosting the Sip and Paint event. The goal is to empower these children with creative expression while providing essential clothing.
