Who are we?

Hi Artists, Collectors and the casual NFT John Doe. Welcome to the founders of the Continuum.

My name is Jesper, I am 22 years old and I am from the Netherlands. This is our story.

I met Dylan when I was about 10 years old. In my high school years, we got into programming and began messing around with mods for app games such as clash of clans, among other wasteful ideas. This is where my passion for coding began and it has been a rollercoaster of love/hate since.

Having both graduated Computer Science & AI together, we decided to dwell full-time into web3 after spending a lot of time, unsuccessfully, investing in the crypto markets. The journey began with developing trading bots for the de-fi crypto market using Machine learning (github). While we could vision the success, the competition was fierce and miners had a real advantage over us. We then proceeded to dive deep into MEV but this was a whole new level of tech with the big fish really dominating the market. However, at this point the NFT market really brought our attention towards the end of 2021 and as a result, we directed ourselves towards this.

In November 21’, a project without a name began. As you may all have experienced, it was overwhelming seeing projects with basic PFP art and near-to-no utility outperform creative projects which we thought had a lot more value. There are thousands of artists grinding everyday to build their name and their portfolio. Given they are the pioneers of the hype in the space, it is a great shame to see many of them go unnoticed.

Not being artists ourselves, we dived deeper into the utility part of an NFT collection. We wanted to create something that would live infinitely on the blockchain. This resulted in creating the concept of The Continuum. A platform in which thousands of contributors can show their work, whether they are an upcoming artist or just want to show a picture of their everyday life.

6 Months down the road and we are ready to open the curtains.

We have a come a long way. As with every startup in the NFT space, you run along a mudslide of difficulties stretching from finding artists to where do we start? Your plan is always being amended. It is not easy but patience is key. At the end of the day, you have to love what you are doing, keep on doing it and eventually your work will prevail.

The Continuum

As previously mentioned, finding artists is not easy. We knew our vision in the art of the project but we were clueless in drawing art. We tried all standard methods but to no avail.

Deciding to embed art in the tickets to the Continuum was a great step. We believed it would be more special if we could integrate historical and modern art into a collection, rather than just having a “ticket” as the JPEG. Additionally, it provides us with means of displaying the level of each CNTNM on the art itself.

In conclusion, we are very glad to announce and share the project. We can not wait to see all the contributions and amazing art that everyone has to share. To provide means of building the biggest collaboration of art in the NFT space is truly intrinsically rewarding and we have loved it every step of the way. We have met so many great people and artists along the way and we can’t wait to meet more.

Thank you for reading and learning about us. So much is waiting to be rolled out. Follow @thecntnm and our personal accounts @bladey.eth and @vinccirom to join the journey and be part of the first of infinite collaborations 🥇
