We should be in winter mode, and we will take a break over the holidays. But in fact, weβre in full preparation and coordination mode. It has been so busy preparing for 2026.
With daily bookings and events rolling in, itβs time to level up on every front. Weβre streamlining processes, improving how we coordinate support, leveling up billing/invoicing routines, and keeping our shared mailbox running smoothly. Behind the scenes, weβre updating our open-source tooling to keep our finances tidy and fully transparent, our bookings flowing, and the communities and organisations using our spaces happy. Weβre also reviewing our membership pricing models and exploring new ways to recognise and reward contributions. We are preparing for some changes, and this requires some juicy decision making processes. More about the upcoming changes, tooling and our financial reports on the membersdrink ππΎ

Because we work in a sociocracy-inspired way, our Discord channels and heartbeat meetings have been buzzingβgathering diverse opinions, listening to perspectives, and inviting everyoneβs valuable input. Democracy is not a passive spectator sport, it is active, requires contributions and engagement and is muddy on a daily basis.
We are building and governing this space together, so we need members to voice how they feel and what they think. The Commons Hub is a shared home for communities and their builders, a place where contributions matter, are seen, rewarded, and valued. Having a welcoming, accessible location in the city centre comes with responsibilitiesβand weβre practicing daily what it means to co-create and care for it collectively.
Some of the best connections happen while doing exactly that, feeling into our project together β talking about how to improve the kitchen, doing dishes together, dreaming about new additions (a kicker table! β½) and then realising we might first need to prioritise something less fun but more essentialβ¦ like a phone booth . Community grows through these small moments: every shared meal, every bit of help exchanged, every effort that keeps this place alive.
So much gratitude to our growing community. We have only just begun.

We publish all events on thisΒ calendar. As we build our calendar, we always look for balance and connection β between the Tech Labβs creative use of technology, the Inner Labβs focus on sharing and belonging, and the Systems Labβs exploration of new ways of organising a society together. Each space feeds the others, bringing diversity, exchange, and cross-pollination into our shared community.
Our events circle around
πINNER LAB: inner development, connection, rituals and intimate workshops
π SYSTEMS LAB: system change, democracy, building a regenerative society & economy
π€TECH LAB: tech & tooling, coding, software development
