We’re back! 🌨
For two weeks, the Commons Hub was quiet, wrapped in full winter mode. Taking a short winter sleep felt good—though coming back on Monday was a little painful, especially with the city so beautifully covered in a white blanket.

January, however, brings fresh energy. At the end of the month we’re welcoming a large and vibrant community of open-source developers and community builders to the Hub.

From January 26th to February 6th, we’re hosting the Open Source Village, creating a dedicated village around the annual FOSDEM 2026—the biggest open-source meetup in Europe. Expect a rich program of meetups and workshops, plus access to coworking space throughout the period.

The Open Source Village is co-created with our partners and sponsors, including Vercel, Open Collective, the CHAOSS community, EuropeMediaLab, Altinity, PostHog, Liminal Village, and many others.

We’re continuing our Friday potluck lunches! Bring some easy food to share, meet the community, and feel very welcome to stay and test the space for a couple of hours afterward. ✨

As we build our calendar, we always look for balance and connection — between the Tech Lab’s creative use of technology, the Inner Lab’s focus on sharing and belonging, and the Systems Lab’s exploration of new ways of organising a society together. Each space feeds the others, bringing diversity, exchange, and cross-pollination into our shared community.
