This guide will help you complete boosts on Boost V2

Complete Boosts

Boost V2 is similiar to quest platforms, like Rabbithole, its predecessor.

How does completing boosts look like?

For now, boost instruction is quite techical. A more user friendly interface wil be released soon.

Meanwhile, follow the following steps to complete boosts.

Know what to do

First, navigate boosts on https://www.boost.xyz/explore. You will see boosts like below.

These are how the boosts are shown currently. Quite confusing. However, most of the time, you just need to notice the bold action names on the left.

For example, look at the BoostCreated boost. What do you need to do? You must create a boost.

This also applies to other boosts.

TokenClaimed => Claim the required tokens

mint => Mint the required NFTs

BoostClaimed => Claim any boost

deposit => deposit to the required protocols

How to know what are the required tokens/NFTs/protocols? Check the part next to Action Names.

For example, look at mint boost. Next to its action name is "ZoraTimedSaleStrategy". You guessed it correct. You need to mint a Zora NFT.

In brief, the first step to do is to read the action names and the requirements next to it.

Do The Actions

For now, Boost won't direct you to the websites where you need to do the actions.

If it's a mint[ZoraTimedSaleStrategy], go to Zora (https://zora.co) and mint an NFT on Base.

Remember: Boost V2 works exclusively on Base meaning you must complete all actions on Base Network.

Claim Your Rewards

After completing the actions, go back to the boost page of the boost you are working on and claim the rewards.

That's how you complete a boost on Boost V2!

Note: Boost V2 is now an advanced protocol that support tons of onchain actions. That's why sometimes you'll see confusing action names or you attempted to complete the boosts many times but impossible. In that case, please ask for support at Boost's Discord server: https://discord.gg/53c3CxDneJ.

Create a boost

First, go to the Deploy interface: https://www.boost.xyz/deploy. Then click on the "+ Add action" button to start.

You will see some recommended and trending actions to create a boost.

Let say you want to create a boost with BoostClaimed action, click on it to see the screen below.

You will need to choose an where you want the rewards to go to claimant or referrer.

Now, go to Reward part. You will need to do some steps to distribute rewards from your budget. Click on + Set Strategy.

Now, choose how your rewards will maintain their value.

Examples:

Fixed amount: Each completion will always receive 1 ETH as the creator set.

USD pegged: Each completion will always receive $1 of ETH regardless of the price of ETH. When 1 ETH = $1, each completion will receive 1 ETH. When 1 ETH = $2, each completion will receive 0.5 ETH.

ETH pegged: Each completion will always receive an amount of UNI that is equal to 2 ETH. When 1 ETH = 2 UNI, each completion will receive 4 UNI. When 1 ETH = 0.4 UNI, each completion will receive 0.8 UNI.

If it's clear, choose an option. Then, click on Create a Budget.
